Lauren is a psychologist who primarily works with children, adolescents and young adults (up to age 30-ish). She has extensive experience with these population and has worked in hospital settings, a juvenile detention centre and private practice. She
enjoys working with individuals presenting with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, difficulties with social skills, difficulties with confidence, self-harming behaviours and more.
Lauren adopts a warm, collaborative and holistic approach to therapy and incorporates a range of therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Client Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
Lauren strongly believes in educating individuals in understanding what they are experiencing and aims to build a positive relationship to help work through any goals/concerns. Lauren's primary goal for individuals she is working with is to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
Lauren is currently undertaking additional studies and is completing her clinical endorsement (Clinical Psychology Program) which will be completed by the end of 2021.
