Common Queries

What happens at my first appointment?

The first appointment involves the psychologist understanding your presenting difficulties and primary concerns. Your psychologist will likely ask you some questions to help them with this. You may also work together to identify any goals/concerns you may wish to achieve and/or target. This is also a time for you to get to know your psychologist and begin building a therapeutic relationship together. You are more than welcomed to ask any questions you wish to be answered during this time.

What are the Fees?

Remedy Psychology do not bulk bill as a standard practice.  Standard fees are currently $190 per session for General Psychologist (with Medicare rebate of $87.45) and $210 for a Clinical Psychologist (with a Medicare rebate of $128.40). These fees are significantly lower than that recommended by our professional body, the Australian Psychological Society (APS), which is currently $254 per session.

See below FAQs for a greater understanding on how to receive a Medicare rebate on your session to reduce the overall fee.
